THE METODHOLOGY OF RESEARCH

A. THE SPECIFIC GOAL OF RESEARCH

In this research, the writr will show two variables. The are motivation variable and student achievement variable that effected from motivation.

Motivation variable is placed as free variable (predictor) and student achievement variable as cord variable (cretirium).

Motivation variable involve the procces of theaching learning in classrom. But student achievement variable involve the final report mark wich gained by the students for certain period. Because of this, the specific goals of this research to get some data about :

1. Motivation

2. English final report mark

B. THE METHODE AND DESIGN OF RESEARCH

Remember that motivation is free variable and english achievement is cord variable have been and have done before, so it does not need a specific conduct in this research.

There fore in this study is used expost facto methoed with factorial design of research 1 x 2 as show this table.

C. THE INSTRUMENT OR RESEARCH

In this research, is used two intrument. They are documenter study and quesioner study documenter study is used to get some data of english student achievement that was gained.

But quesioner study is used to show free variable (Motivation variable) in motivation variable involved extrinsic indicator and intrinsic one.

From the data above, we can explain to be some question based the lattice which is settleted.

D. SAMPLE OF POPULATION

As a population of this research are the second grade student of SMP BHINNEKA Pungging – Mojokerto academic year : 2007 – 2008 with amount …………. Student.

This sample is taken with random, at before it is made the list of population. The amount sample is tried same or equivalent aeach class.

To fast the research, the writer just take ……….. student that divided in each class as an equivalent sample. Altough the researcher just take the vices of some student but everyone in the class have same oppurtunity.

To take the sample of the research. I will use two polling. One is blank polling and ones is polling that written sample. Then who get the written polling will give some questioneri to called data.

E. THE TECHNIQUE OF ANALISIS DATA

The explanation and analisis of data is used statistic techinque. The analisis of data is used to :
